I thought I'd just photograph every item I have gathered so far for uni, some things were not included in the video! Despite being a photographer, I am well aware that these photos aren't great, I just took them on my iPad quickly for you guys to see! I'm pretty happy with my purchases so far though and I think you can tell I put a lot of effort into my colour coordination. To see the images full scale, just click them :)
Hope you like the stuff I've got so far! It's very exciting for me :)
As soon as I applied for university, I got excited about all the new stuff I could buy- things that I don't usually get excited about...such as tea towels and oven gloves! I quickly chose a colour scheme which was extremely easy given that I work in the home department at Next, so am constantly surrounded by the most gorgeous accessories, bedding and cushions. The ranges we currently have include lilacs, pale greens and silvers all very pretty- but I chose red. Over the christmas season in Next, red seemed to be the most popular colour and all the room sets were kitted out with tartan throws and knitted cushions and I just loved how cosy and warm the rooms looked. Now as we are heading into spring I am slightly hesitant buying deep red throws and cosy blankets, but I have to remember that it will be winter when I go to uni, and I remain encouraged by how lovely the colours looked in Next. So that's my colour scheme, red. I have already bought my duvet which I got online, it's a really pretty tartan bed set, and I have a feeling it was delivered today actually (but I was out).
Here's a picture of it anyway
Gorgeous right?
I also went shopping with my friend Lizzie and we started to get a few little bits, cushions, kitchen stuff, picture frames etc. We went to a shop called B'n'M for all this and for about 10 items I spent just over £15 which isn't at all bad. I did a vlog on our shopping trip which you can see by clicking play on the link below.
There are a few items that weren't mentioned in the video, and of course I will be buying lots more stuff but it's certainly a start and I'm buying months in advance!
Hope you like the video guys :)
Please share it and subscribe/ follow my blog and youtube page! Thank you x
Welcome to my new page! Over the next few months and onwards, I will be uploading posts about my preparations for university. This could be anything from a simple recipe, to a shopping haul! I'm planning to write about student finance and accommodation to help some of you out, but also more interesting posts about freshers week and societies! Obviously I am starting this with about seven months till I actually leave, but I have already started shopping and will need to sort out my loans and finance soon so I don't feel like it's too early- however it will be a while before I actually get to uni to talk about freshers week etc. so please stick with me.
I'd really appreciate it if you could follow this blog, that way you will get updated on everything new that I post. You can also follow my twitter@beckyiblogbecky
Feel free to comment if you have any ideas of posts you'd like to see and I will do my best to write them and answer any questions you may have. I'd love it if more people saw my posts because it really gives me a confidence boost knowing that I'm not taking to myself, so if you enjoyed this please share it with your friends and family!
